Hola! My name is Andrea and I am a bilingual journalist/storyteller specialized in Latin America. I was born and raised in Mexico, and have lived in Montevideo and Madrid. Right now I am based in Washington D.C.
I love to connect and support innovative projects, work with new multimedia formats, and travel whenever I have the opportunity to do so.
Since I graduated from my MA in Latin American Studies from Georgetown University, I’ve worked at research centers, think tanks, start ups, and international organizations. I have shown a strong commitment to social justice, especially to gender issues. I’ve proudly worked for organizations like Nat Geo, UNESCO, IADB and Transparency International.
I am a part of the Transparency International’s Program for Young Journalists, where I have covered issues related to migration and corruption in Latin America, with a gender perspective. I’m always looking for stories to tell and I am always happy to meet new people and have a cafecito.
